A local motorsports icon set to re-open. Sport Haus, Reno’s premier luxury, exotic and sports car dealership is re-opening. After selling the business 6 years ago, John McClure the original founder in 1980 has taken over the business. 14 years ago John moved his little service shop from Wells Avenue to his big beautiful new showroom on South Virginia St. Sport Haus was one of the first dealerships to move into south Reno. The showroom, facing I-580 south, just before Double Diamond, features Reno’s nicest pre owned vehicles. Sport Haus also has service and parts for the cars they sell. The new Sport Haus Reno will also be Nevada’s Superformance dealer. Superformance has a line of Cobras, the Corvette Grand Sport and GT40’s. They are also the dealers for Carol Shelby Cobras and the Daytona Coupe, headquartered out of Las Vegas. Sport Haus is now open for sales, service and parts. They are now accepting consignments. John has offered part ownership to his management team to insure Sport Haus is here for the long run. Led by President John McClure, Emilie Oliver-McClure Vice Preident and Office Logistics, sales manager Ron Barron, Service Manager Jay Kaltenbach, VP of Business and Product Development Mike Dietel, and finance and accounts manager Terri Edwards, Sport Haus is Reno’s first employee owned auto dealership. Watch for the Grand Re-Opening celebration on June 4th. Sport Haus is located at 9732 So. Virginia St. Enter at the Winco Foods driveway and head left into the Foothill Commerce Center.
